【Announcement Regarding the 2026 Entrance Examination for the Master’s Program in Biomedical Sciences: Overview and Program Information Session】
Regarding the entrance examination for the 2026 academic year (Master’s Program in Biomedical Sciences), please note that the detailed application guide?typically published around the end of April?will be released sometime after July.
This postponement is due to ongoing adjustments in preparation for the reorganization of the Graduate School of Medicine scheduled for April 2026.
As previously announced, there will be a change in the examination method for the Master’s Program in Biomedical Sciences.
The written English test will be replaced by an evaluation based on either the TOEFL iBT or TOEIC (Listening and Reading Test) score. Please be advised that scores will be considered valid if obtained within two years prior to the examination date.
Prospective applicants are advised to check the official website of Kobe University regularly for updates and additional information.

【Selection Method for the Entrance Examination in October 2025 (Master's Program in Biomedical Sciences)】
As part of the entrance examination, the English proficiency test will utilize scores from either TOEFL iBT or TOEIC (Listening and Reading Test). The following is an overview of the requirements. Applicants planning to take the TOEIC should make sure to take the test that will allow the issuance of the digital official certificate by the final day of the application period. Please plan your TOEIC test with sufficient time.
TOEFL iBT
Only TOEFL iBT scores from tests taken on or after October 1, 2023, will be accepted.
You are required to submit the original Test Taker Score Report.
TOEIC
The score submission process must be completed via the TOEIC member page. When submitting the scores, you will need to use the Kobe University Graduate School of Medicine's "Application Code" (00010410). Please refer to the TOEIC website for submission details.
Additionally, you must submit either the original Official Score Certificate or a digital official certificate (printed on A4 paper).
Only TOEIC Listening & Reading public test scores from tests after October 1, 2023, will be accepted. Test scores from TOEIC-IP (institutional testing) are not acceptable.
Note: TOEFL ITP, TOEIC IP, TOEFL iBT Home Edition, IELTS, and other similar tests are not accepted.
