About Center for Medical Transformation
CMX: Center for Medical Transformation serves as the core center for the Kobe University Graduate School of Medicine's strategic research initiative, 'Global Medical Innovation Creation Hub Project,' which is part of Kobe University's long-term vision, KU Vision 2030.
Objective
Restructure The Center for Cell Signaling and Medical
Innovation, where Kobe University’s tradition of signal
transduction research has been developed,
to a new organization named The Center for Medical Transformation (CMX)
in order to expand its function and research area to respond to the needs of the New Normal DX age.
- Establish an International MX Collaborative Research Organization through close collaboration among CMX, Kobe University, IT2, University of Washington, and Center for Molecular Medicine Norway (NCMM), University of OSLO.
- Promote systematic medical innovation such as drug discovery, development of clinical diagnostic reagents and medical device development through cross-cutting collaboration with other departments within Kobe University and companies, joint research and international collaboration.
Target
Elucidation of etiology and pathogenesis of refractory cancer, neuropsychiatric disorders, and infectious diseases to identify the target molecules for more accurate diagnosis and treatment.
Identification of the seeds for new drugs, development of very early stage diagnosis methods, innovative therapies and disease prevention methods aiming for the secure and safe society.
Training of young researchers with global mindset, who will take the leadership in the next generation of medical research.
Establishment of an International Joint Drug Discovery Research Organization in Japan which serves for the welfare of the Japanese society, aim high, contributes in the international community.
