Kobe Journal of Medical Sciences has proposed to digitize the papers published from the first volume to the 46th and store them in the “Kobe Journal of Medical Sciences Repository (Kernel)” to make them available online.

Currently, submission guidelines clearly specify that the copyright of the published papers belongs to Kobe Journal of Medical Sciences, but there were no specific regulations for past papers.

Therefore, we would appreciate it if the transfer of copyright — to digitize papers and make them available on a website — could be obtained from the authors. During the applicable period, authors and copyright owners with objections or questions are kindly requested to notify us no later than October 20, 2023. If there are no objections, we will proceed as if authors have given permission. However, we will respond in good faith to notifications after that date.

This digitization and online publication will also facilitate the storage of papers, their dissemination, and the promotion of research results. We deeply appreciate your understanding regarding the transfer of copyright.
