  Call for Applications: Candidate for a Professor in the Division of Physiology
 of the Department of Physiology and Cell Biology
Kobe University Graduate School of Medicine invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the level of professor in the Division of Physiology of the Department of Physiology and Cell Biology. This tenure-track employment will start on November 1st, 2018 for an initial term of ten years. Prior to expiration of this term, review for the transition to tenured position will be undertaken.

Selection Policy Kobe University Graduate School of Medicine invites applications for a professorship in the Division of Physiology of the Department of Physiology and Cell Biology. We are seeking a candidate with an excellent record of research achievements, who can demonstrate her/his expertise in the fields of basic medicine and life science, conduct advanced research at an internationally-competitive level, and foster next generation researchers in the areas of basic medicine and life sciences. The candidate is required to be engaged in study of the regulatory mechanisms of biological functions and of diseases or pathological conditions related to abnormalities in these regulatory mechanisms. The candidate will also be expected to carry out and promote research activities aiming to their clinical application. As for teaching commitments, the successful candidate is expected to supervise students in the undergraduate programs through lectures on physiology, mainly relating to circulation, respiration, functions of the kidneys and digestive organs, and metabolic system, with sufficient educational experience and enthusiasm (in Japanese and English).
